I took this pic with my phone yesterday. Curious what might this have been? Bait ball? And how can I get my pics to stop loading sideways?

Loch Ness monster?
That's either a very tight bait ball or a large fish. The arch is caused by the object moving into and out of the 2d beam.Judging by the mass in the center,it is solid looking.Any really big fish where you are?
It looks different than other bait balls I've seen so far. I'm like you, thinking it may be a large fish. Largest fish in that lake I would guess is muskie, catfish, or carp. I'd like to hook it if it was a bassIt was on South Holston Reservoir in Washington County, VA
Captain Kirk
To me it looks like floating object. Log .plastic bag something like that
Geez Nobass thats a buzz kill!
I hunt bait more than fish!!! That looks like a small bait ball to me. The downVu gives it away. Whenever I see a blob streaking downward like that on the Down, I think baitfish.
Thats actually a stump, that's the feedback it gives from 2d sonar and DI because the sonar cant go through the wood. Saw this first hand at table rock last weeked for the college series FLW when i went over a stump that was in 20 ft of water but came up to about 4 feet, went over it with the sonar and got this exact image. it was a surprise to me.
And for the picture open the actual image on your PC then look at the bottom of the tab that the image is open in and there should be arrow pointing in a rotation shape hit them and it will save automatically![]()
The semi straight line on the left side of the 2d is a stump. The small ball is bait fish.
