lucky son, best hand me down I ever got was an '87 oldsmobile but beggars can't be chosers. Stay in a champ no matter what decal is on the side of it.

Yes! The Champion Elites under the Stratos decal are still 100% ChampioN!!!!!! Our hulls, topcaps, etc, built using OUR molds. The ONLY change is the decals!

Sorry there is more change than the decal. The only one i am going to name is the one i care about and that is quality do you really think they pay attention to detail on the elites more than the ranger i dont think so. Sorry folks i love champs but they are not what they use to be if it were me i would look at bass cat and legend.

I have not seen the new ones yet to see if the quality is there but i know its not there in the rangers. I have one question though if ranger and the elites had the exact same hull would you buy a ranger if they got rid of the elite?

That is a very odd question....That would never happen. Ranger is Ranger and Champion is Champion. They will never have the same hull (unless PE lets R steal our bassboat hulls like they did one of our bay boats...)

Likely good boats. But I strongly suggest you give Legend a look as well.

What are "likely good boats"? Most nowadays are decent, but I would buy an Elite in a heartbeat before I changed hulls/handling.

Yes it is odd Lea, but i have heard more than a couple times that ranger has wanted the Champ molds/hull for years.

the bass cats are very well built boats and handle great. But they fish terrible, especially if you're like me and do not use a butt seat, sorry. been there done that and wont go back ever again. that trolling motor pedal all the way up front is absolutely the worst design ever. Whenever I fished my pantera III i felt like I was gonna fall in the water. Plus the styling is just so so. the Stratos elite is a gorgeous boat. And you should see one in person before you decide they arent as well built. Granted the ride may not be quite the same as it was on the narrower beams but it's still an amaziing boat. I would drive a legend, and fish out of it a little and do the same with the Stratos elite. If neither suits you then keep looking.

Without a doubt!! And I looked at a few others while I was Boatless Bank Trash earlier in the year.

They've had access to them for almost 10 years, so if that was going to happen, I think it would have happened by now. Personally, since the Elites are priced at the top of the Stratos line, I would think that PE would insure the quality be up there.

Re: Need help deciding????? (LA 24)

Thanks for all the input. My biggest concern was the overall Quality of the New Model Stratos Champ. Will have to do my home work before spending big bucks. Thanks again from South Louisiana!!! Keep everyone posted on my new ride!!!!
