What length tm shaft on a 201 ?

I have had 2 motorguides (given to me) that even with the motor lowered all the way would come out of the water with little waves.
My wife is byin me a new minkota for my birthday and I want one that I can fish rough water with but also when in shallow water not be breakin baits on the head of my tm cause its up to high.

I dont know the lengths for motorguide, but I have a minn kota 60" that I felt was way too long. Installed the 52" shaft and am happy. Fished 2-3ft waves with no issues. Also, the longer the shaft the more positioning considerations need to be made so that shaft is not hanging outside the hull when stowed. Our decks on the 201 are not exactly roomy.

I know, I am having a cousin water jet cut me a 1/4 in piece of aluminum plate to mount under the bow and a piece of the same except polished to mount on the top to add strength to mine. It flexes a good bit now with the power of the bigger tm's.

I had a 52" on my 201 ...

My 186 had a 42" went to 52". It works but I hit it while casting atleast once per day. Wish I would have went with a 48"

52" on my 198. Zero issues with hitting it and stays in the water in the rough wakes and all...

That is fine. If it comes out of the H20 with that, you need to move to a new spot.

Oh, I think that day we came out of Harvey Creek at Big Sam with that 40+ north wind, I bet we coulda bounced that 52" out of the water then ... So much for the dry Champion ride that day

Could have been aboard a destroyer that day and got wet! BASTAGE! 3 showers that day. All that and the spinner bait lady!
