    Tachometer wiring

I'm trying to add a tach to my boat. I used a ground, ignition positive + and the gray wire for the sending. when the key is on the tach goes to zero but does not rev up with the rpm's. Not sure what is wrong unless the new tach doesn't work. Am I missing something?

My tachometer has SND, GND, IGN, LT, the Pulses are 2p/4c, 3p/6c, 4p/8c, 5p, 6p.

    Re: Tachometer wiring (RUSTY63)

Sorry Rusty, I put the posting in the wrong motor section, it should be in the Mercury Force 70 hp section 1993. Oops!!! Can you still help?
