I recently bought a 1990 Champ, the guy did not have the key to the rod locker and middle storage compartment so i need to replace the locks and keys for this. I bought some that i thought would work and they didnt work. Any ideas on which latches work for this boat?
When I needed keys I went to dealer who came out with a box full of keys! We just tryed until we found some that worked!
If the locks weren't whitecap (or westmarine brand made by whitecap), they more than likely were sarasota locks. For a boat that old they were about the only two in the game back then. I just took mine to a local locksmith and had the keys made.
