Fishing trip pics - Potholes, Banks Lake, Lake Roosevelt, Pend Oreille river

Towed the Champion over to the Eastside of the mountains to do some fishing with 9 of my friends. 4 botas total. Left on Monday the 17th and came back Sunday the 23rd after about 1000 miles of driving! Hated it to end....
Thought I would share some pics of some of the fish I caught this past week. Weather was great some days and horrible the next. All in all, we had a great trip! everyone caught lots of fish.

I appreciate the heads up. Same goes for around here but it's like my cooler is wired into my kill switch. I can't get it to turn over unless there's at least a couple of brew's in the cooler.

Nice pics. I drink Buds on the lake cuz the can colors match my boat. I've been checked by gfp with a can on deck and no mind was paid to it. Looks like y'all had a great time!!

    Great pics man!

Was over there a couple weeks back to Banks. Did OK, and spent a morning at Rufus Woods, all I can say is HOLY TROUT. Next trip I want to fish Potholes and Roosevelt. Did you launch at the dam on Roosevelt? If so, how long of a run to hit smallie water?

I noticed on your post a while back that you were over there right before me. I was wondering how you did! I did see your pics. That trout looked HUGE!
I only got a chance to fish Banks for about 2 hours before I broke my steering cable on my Motorguide, which cut my day short. I did catch a couple largemouth pitchin a jig in Osbourne Bay and in the first airport bay just South of Osbourne. (The one that has all the man made cover/stick-ups in a row) That's when my cable broke and I was done for the day..... I don't know if you've ever fished the lake on the other side of Osbourne Bay. If you haven't, you should give it a try, although the launch sucks. My buddies fished it and really got into them! I fished it as well and just caught a few.
I launched at Spring Canyon and ran to Plum Point, which is about 3 1/4 miles. We probably caught about 12 to 15 there. A couple were good ones. We normally do well on the big flat @ Swallia Bay (I think that's how you spell it), which is just a couple miles further down the lake on your left. Most bass fisherman fish there. It was tougher than usual because of the big storm they had over there. Kellers ferry had a bunch of fish up there but we didn't really catch any big ones there. I wanna say that's about a 12 mile run.
One of my buddies fished the usual spots on Banks and it was pretty slow. Again, I think it was the storm. He knows Banks as well as I do so he fishes the same stuff so I ended up fishing Roosevelt both days since it was pretty good.
Man I would like to try Rufus Woods even though I'm not really a trout fisherman but I've never fished it before. Do they have a population of bass there?
I ran into a guy a couple of years ago after I had just came off Lake Chelan and he mentioned to me that the trout fishing was nuts!

Yea I think you and Wayoop fish together sometimes, correct? You guys probably know all the stuff I do on Banks but if I can help, let me know! I wouldn't mind exchanging info with you guys.
My Roosevelt knowledge is OK, I guess, as well as Potholes. Just started fishing the Pend Oreille last year, and I really dig that. It's a long drive but one of my best friends lives in Spokane. He's got a Fish & Ski Procraft so sometimes I'll just load up my gear in my truck, drive to his place and fish out of his boat. Makes it easy. Good largemouth and smallmouth and Pike!
We fished Lake Pend Oreille (not the river) on the 7th and 8th of this month. Man that is some UNTAPPED smallie water! It was a little early but we caught some nice fish. Here's a couple pics of my friend Robb with some nice smallies. He outfished the crap out of me!

Thanks for the info. Definitely have to try Roosevelt next trip over the pass. Rufus is supposed to have bass, but was only there for half day, and did a lot of riding around. I'm not much of a trout fisher either, but they were knocking the snot out of a trap on Banks, one actually ripped the rod out of my hands, luckily caught it on the bounce off the deck Got some other trout on d-shot at Banks, and the trout at Rufus liked the d-shot also.

If you get up north, let me know.
