Changing out a Motorguide for a Motorguide on a 187 Elite?

Changing a new Motorguide Tour 82, I have a Gatormount on now but want to put the new spring loaded Tour Mount on. I have changed brackets before but that was on Skeeter with alot bigger plate up front to get my arm through. I have a 187 Elite and the front panel is very small. Any tips or suggestions to make job go well.. Don't they all!

You can rout out the front panel opening,, At least smooth the edges..
then get the skinnyest arm in your friends /family

Kill 2 birds with one stone. Put in a recess (mine's a pro control) and it will be like opening a car hood to get at it. You will love it.

I used he isolator bolts that came with it. They work OK. I check them from time to time and can tighten a little. The recessed tray is my next step, then I will mount it with hardware from underneath. But the isolator bolts that come with it do the job.

Shouldn't you use a cooly cup on that Bud (to make it a factory option)?
