Hello all,
I am posting here because I already tried the Triton owners board listing....I emailed two different folks, but got undeliverables...must be out of date.

Any way here is my question
Hello,

I bought a TR196 DC LE 2005 last august. It has a 200 HO 3.3L engine. Currently it has raker II 3 blade prop, forgot the pitch and am not by the boat now....but question I have is I see a lot of owners getting 73-75 mph out of them. I am getting to 63/64 but then it starts to chine badly(I do know it is a triton thing). My motor height I tried adjusting to the minimum 5.5 inch range above transom(according to the bbc triton setups help page), but noticed more cavitation and slipping on hole shot for sure. Didn't help on the top end at all. I am thinking prop as most guys getting these speeds are running power tech 25, 25 tempest, 25 trophy, or 26 raker.

I too have a 6in manual plate. My questions are:

1. Do you run a 3 or 4 blad prop?
2. Can you specify what height you have your motor set above the transom? or prop shaft below pad?
3. Any prop recommendations for that motor 05 200 HO, and 05 TR 196?
4. Any triton experts out there I could get a hold of?

thanks, I am looking to buy a different prop to see if that will help at all, and would entertain a 4 blade speed prop if need be

thanks for your response.
