    Best GPS/ fish finder

Going to be getting a new boat pretty soon, so I'm deciding on which electronics to put on it. Which did y'all pick? Lowrance, Hummingbird, or Garmin? I like the HDS9, the 714XS, and the 998c HD SI. I want the unit to have side/down scan on it. I'm wondering which one is the easiest to use, most reliable, best quality, most features, etc... They all seem to have their ups and downs, that's what is making it hard on choosing.. Thanks!

Couldn't agree more. I've owned Hummingbird 1100 series, 900series, HDS8, HDS7, and HDS5 units and now Garmin's. The easiest units I've used to operate are Garmin's. The 93sv I've seen at BassPro Shops is $1,099. That's a whole lot of electronics for the money by today's standard for a 9" Unit.

Agree completely. On the low end units, around $500-$600 I'd be hard pressed to say who has the most bang for the buck. There is a lot out there. I call this mid-range and I agree the 93sv has the edge. On the high end units (around $2500 or more) for me there has to be a specific performance issue that you are willing to pay the premium price to get. That means paying a lot for a slight improvement. I got the 7610xsv for that reason. It's a winner for me.
