    Sideimaging and GPS location.

I have step mounted my GT40 transducer. All works great, but what I'm noticing is that if I idle by a dock the dock starting showing up about the time the console of the boat gets to the dock not the transducer. This is because of the angle of attack of the boat. (bow slightly up). The question is, will this throw of my GPS locations when marking a spot on the sideview screen? Worse in deeper water and or farther from the boat?

Maybe. We introduce some error regardless. The GPS is in the unit. The transducer is somewhere else, so there will be some error in addition to the 7-9 ft normal error you have.

True, maybe closer to correct position.
