I came across these floor mats at work (free), used on on the floor and cut the other for an insert in the recess trolling pedal.


The mat is very heavy so it wont fly out of my boat.

What do you folks think about it?

Neat! What is it made of and how did you cut it?

Its roughly 3/8 thick vinyl, .030 thick chrome look mat and another 1/4 thick foam backer. I measured the recess opening then transferred these dimensions to the mat. Use a utility knife to cut the product.

I have some gray matting from a couple of navy ships. It has the same pattern as yours, but not chrome-look. Talk about heavy! It is heavy all the way thru...no foam backing. I tried to cut it but failed....Guess I am not strong enough..
