You wouldn't be trolling would you???I can see this as a BIG thread with that kind of question...I'll say Evinrude 225 HO even though it was done on a Bullet Boat with a Merc running a perfect pitch prop...
2005 Stratos 200 Pro XL
Evinrude 225 HO E-Tec / Raker 28 Pitch
The results have not been released and until Bass & Walleye boats magazine release them we will not post them.

i understand your thoughts as far as me/this post being a "troller". however, i can assure you i am not and i do know for a FACT the results. as my post said, i'm awaiting permission from my source to share results. if it's gotta be kept "secret" until mag releases, or he asks me not to share the info, so be it. i was merely looking for everyone else's opinions. troller...absolutely not...and if it appeared that way...my humblest/sincerest apologies.
Let's just all wait and see the results when they are released. Otherwise, everything just gets all turned around anyhow. To me, the E-Tec is the winner, no matter who "won". To me the contest was over before it began. Their are way to many set-up variables for a "test" like this to be conclusive or accurate.

If you want to you can IM me the results of Mr. Tiger's results they will be held in confidentiality until the Rag hits the street. From the way you are talking though it looks like the Merc one. Nice troll though. CM![]()
P.S. I know how to get a hold of John Tiger jr. and can push his buttons.

Do you know for a fact if Merc had to use their $1000+ "lab finished" prop to attain the speed that they did?
Did you read the editorial in the April issue about Merc changing gearcases at the last minute?

I think that Bass & Walleye Boats Magazine should be the resource for the release of the...3 Liter High performance 225 Shoot out.
Bass and Walleye Boats spent the time and resources to get this test together calling on Bullet Boats, Mercury Motors, Yamaha Motors, and Bombardier for the services of each company.
I think it would be disrespectful for anyone other than Bass & Walleye Boats Magazine to release this information, With that said, I also know the results of the shoot out and choose NOT to release this information.
John.......you're absolutely right; we will NOT release any information on this before Bass & Walleye Boats magazine releases it.
i will respect the wishes voiced here & not share the info that was shared with me. CM: once again, and FINALLY, this is/was no troll. my email is msj@comcast.net if you're interested in results privately.
Dam,
someone post the report for me when they can,,cause i dont see that mag in the news agent.
