    NFL Boat accident

Did anyone catch the story on the NFL players that lost there lives when there boat capsized..According to the surviving member he stated that one of the guys tied the anchor line to the tie down eye in stern area, not a cleat or bow (where it belongs). When the seas got rough the owner didnt want to lose this $95 anchor so decided to turn engine on and gave it gas in hopes of dislodging the anchor but in high seas the rear was pulled down and allowed the waves to crash over the transom and swamp the boat and according to survivor it listed and capsized flipping boat over. After reading this at first you shake your head and can't believe that 4 guys would venture out in such a small boat and then not be prepared or understand there situation. A tragic end to an accident that should have never happened but it reminds us all in our bass boats to take time to review your safety gear and make sure you are prepared to handle what mother nature throws at you,,Be safe and good fishing!!!

Also makes you wonder if alcohol was involved.

    Not sure.........but I do know what wasn't involved.............and that's brains!

It's a tragedy that could have been prevented in several ways.........One being that they never should have gone out in the first place.
