    Needing help on setup!

As I stated in my last post, I have a 1992 184 w/ a merc 200EFI. I just hung this motor a couple of weeks ago and have been trying to get sorted out. Here is where I am at, hole shot is horrible, once it does get up on plane it hauls. I have the motor 3.5" below pad with a 3 blade 26P rapture. Any suggestion on what I might try to get the hole shot better. The motor is turning 2000 to 2200 while trying to plane out at WOT. Like said once it does plane out it hauls with good water pressure. Thanks for all the help thus far.

I am not at all familiar with your prop, but it sure is not spinning up fast enough to start with. See if you can get ahold of a 26p Tempest plus and play with the pvs hole plug sizes....

The holes help your prop spin up faster for good hole shot, but will not affect top end...

    Your prop is well....ahem...junk.

Find a good 25M Yamha wheel and be done.

Some of you might be asking "why not a tempest?" dang good question...

My experience with the 2.4 motors and tempest haven't been good, it's just a little too aggresive to run properly, the M prop has out done it on a 86" hull with the 2.4 motor.
