I'm looking at putting hydraulic steering on my '89 18'4" Champion. I have noticed that Teleflex has different helms. The 1.4, 1.7, 2.0 and 2.4, and these are the number of cc's of fluid per turn of the wheel, so the 1.4 requires more turns than a 2.4. Well I have figured out that much, anyway my question is which one should I get? Will I see the best performance with a 2.0 and is that the preferred size? I'm looking at the Seastar Pro, and the kit I'm looking at comes with the 2.0.
I appreciate any help on this, I have researched the net quite a bit, and now I'm here to find out from the best!
