Just bought a 200 elite with a 225 Pro XS and was curious what props you guys are running?

Well I'm running a 27" on my 250 I would say a 25 or so would be great.
26 tempest
That is what is on there (26 tempest), but I know some guys running a trophy 4 blade with luck. I didn't know if anyone found another prop to run yet or not. Thanks Luke
Temp will run a lot better on it than the trophy gives it a ton more lift than the trophy......sent it off to Mark and get some tweaking on it and might get you a few MPH
What kind of numbers (speed and rpm) are you seeing with your 26? I am still in the break-in on mine ( 200 elite w/225 Pro XS) and have not messed with motor height yet.
Yesterday was my first day on the water and after an hour, I went to 5400 rpm and just wanted to see how much was left for a second or two, but I was already at WOT. Motor is pretty low though (5 1/4 below pad) and was still doing double oil. Don't know how much difference raising the motor to 3 1/2 will add to rpm.
It has not seen the water yet.......I just picked it up on Saturday.
I think that Russ from C and O told me that Dennis' boat will run right at 70 loaded...
Well, good luck when you do get her in the water. It was killing me to have the boat for over a week before I could go to the lake. It was worth the wait though. Was choppy about noon, so I got feel how the boat handled. The boat would almost drive itself. It felt great. Going back this weekend to actually fish and then ride for a couple more hours if the fish are not biting.![]()
Brandon, you definitely need to raise that motor...and yes, it will give you more RPMs...
To all, the 26p Tempest Plus can differ, one from the other, straight out of the box. I tried 3 before I got the one that is on my boat now....
Lea, what is a good starting point for motor height below the pad. I want to get through the 4 hour break-in before I adjust anything, but figured I would get it about 3 3/4 inches and go from there. Is that a good starting point, or should I go more/less?
Yes, good starting point. That's where mine is ....Also needs to be postioned for optimum RPMs for that motor....
I have this boat/motor combo and am running a 25 Tempest +. I hit 71 GPS just after break-in, gas nearly empty, super light load, and 2 people in the boat. I get 68 GPS all day with full load, gas, and 2 people @ 5700 RPM. I have 19.8 hours on it and I have not taken it out solo yet. I will this Spring and see if it changes much. I haven't checked prop to pad measurement, but will before taking it out of hibernation.
