Seahorse, thanks for replying quickly. I bought some grease just for this if needed, it will be used. The plug with the rust was top starboard, don't know the cylinder #'s. (I guess I need to know that for future ?'s). I don't have the brush you mentioned, but I do have something that will work good.

I looked for any leaks and found none. The motor still looks brand-new (and runs great). Is it possible that the plug itself was defective on the cap? All the other plugs look the same with average wear with about 60 hours on them.

PS, Tell me those cylinder #'s reference port/starboard for us lay people.
