Houston area 1987 Cajun Blaze deck restoration help & tips needed.

The major parts of the wooden deck on my Cajun are rotten. I have taken some of the wood off but have found that a major part is under the fiberglass counsel. I saw the Demon repair where the whole top was removed. I think I may be able to fix the deck without doing the same--maybe not. Please give me suggestions on how to remove the old wood.

I want to replace the wood with "High Impact Styrene." This is plastic sheets, like that of cutting boards for meat or vegtables. I figure that this will prevent further deck replacements since it won't rot. Any opinions?

P.S. If I have to take the top part of my boat off, how do I buy the rubber seal that lays between the top & bottom part? I ask since the Cajun manufacturer doesn't exist anymore.

I have an '84 Cajun and there was only silicone between my caps. To do the job right you will have to seperate the two halfs. Email me at kevr115@aol.com and I'll send pics of my project.

Good morning Kevin. This is Arthur Elizondo. We talked, concerning the repair of my Deck. As you suggested, I have to seperate the top & bottom of my boat, in order to properly fix it. I need to ask you some questions concerning the wiring. Do you have a minute?
