Stongly interested in purchasing a Blazer. The good things are easy to see. What I am looking for are the things you dont like or would change about your blazer.
Buckeye,
Welcome to the blazer forum, I had asked this same question maybe a month ago. If you do a search it should be easy to find, there were some very honest and helpful answers!! I am picking up my new (new to me) blazer this weekend, so ill let you know what I think.

What are you looking for?
I had an '06 202 and I will be getting an '07 shortly. If you are looking for a new '07, then I can't think of anything that I would change. I had a few things I wanted to see different than what was on my '06 and they have all been addressed for '07 (if not now, will be in a month or so).![]()
It's a great boat at a great value.![]()
I don't know who your nearest dealer is in OH, but if you don't have one, I encourage you to take a beautiful drive to Tennessee and check out C&O!![]()

If I buy one C & O is where it will be. They are the only place thats been helpful with my HydraSport and have been very quick and cheap shipping me things.
Im looking at the 180. My only concern from what I can see is I really want a full front deck. Do they have a insert you can buy? Only problem if they do is then my cooler isnt accesible.
The 180 is a very nice 18' boat. The one that Todd has on his lot is a beautiful color combination. If you're in the market, I know he'd make you a great deal on that one.![]()
The factory does not make an extension that would cover the step cooler, although I don't think it would be difficult to build and I'd bet C&O could make one for the right price. Also, I think the 180 has a cooler under the center seat also so covering the one up at the step wouldn't be as big of a deal. I may be wrong on that, but I think all of the boats have two coolers.![]()

Just remember what ever boat you get,,,, Even if you designed a boat yourself.... 6 months later there would be things that you would change. Are you going to use your 'ol Suzuki or get a new motor also?
Ill go with a merc or yammie unless I see a package I cant resist.
My boat sold about a week ago. No more 20 year old stuff for me!!!!! However I may buy used just to get a bigger boat.
I would not go with anything less than 19 feet if I had to do it over again. I think 20 with a 225hp would be just right and 21 or 22 with 250/300 would ride like a caddy!

19' and 200hp would be the perfect boat for me. They are hard to find used and I dont think I could afford one new. Anything bigger might push my 4.0 liter V6 Ford Ranger all over the road. Its rated at 6000 pounds towing and I dont even know my 18' boat is back there. I dont know how it would do with a big boat.
It would not weigh much more than what you have now. Blazers are light. Boat, trailer, motor and everything probably would not weigh much more than 3000 lbs.
I had a 2wd extended cab Ranger with a 4.0 that I used to pull my 2005 Stratos 200 ProXL w/ 225 H.O. It had the tandem axle trailer with brakes, but that boat weighed a LOT more than a 190 Blazer w/ a 200 on it. I had no trouble pulling it. It looked kind of funny with that big boat behind that little truck, but it did just fine.
Don't worry about your Ranger, it'll be ok.![]()
