I have a 2000 Ficth 115 purchased in May of 2000 that has a problem since it was new. The motor will cut off without warning at throttle settings above 4000. By the time I got it to a dealer OMC was out of business. The dealer could not find a problem. Each year I took it to a different dealer. The last one removed an anti-siphon valve in the fuel system on the motor and it made the situation better. Now it only happens above 5000 RPM. He also said the fuel pump diaphragm looked odd but he did not want to change it to isolate the problem.

I have change the anti siphon fitting at the gas tank and am currently using a fitting that has the spring and ball removed for unrestricted flow but still the same problem. I have also run a 6 gallon tank and had the same thing occur. The software diagnostics show nothing abnormal. Does anyone have an idea what to check or do?
