Good luck, mostly what you'll get is people that have never owned one. I do have one and so far have not had any problems. The main concern I had was low bridges and the new tilt bracket takes care of that problem. I think that both units work well, there have been problems with both.

The one thats on my boat has served me well.
Its nice to touch the fob and have the Talon hold me in place.

I've been running 2 for a year now and haven't had any problems. Either brand will do what it's made for. Biggest difference to me is you can buy a 8ft talon for a grand and have enough coin left to buy a hydrowave vs an 8ft powerpole.
Easy choice for me cuz all they are is a dang shallow anchor, both way overpriced.

I don't own either but from an engineering standpoint I like how the Powerpole deploys out and down. I think that gives a more stable anchor, especially if you have two. But they both seem to do the job.

hey guys just wanted to let you know the biggest difference i find ppl say about the talon and the power pole is the power pole deploys out and down out of the way so if your fishing from the back of the boat you dont have it in you way. other than that havent really heard any significant difference besides the price. i thought about buying one but i always use my TM and move around in the river so im not sure way purpose a talon or power pole would serve me.

    Re: (jkk)

I have them on my boat & have had no trouble. I have also fished out of the back of the boat and dont even notice it.

I also have extra room in my battery compartment.

Had a brand new boat in the shop a few weeks ago putting in an alarm and one of his power poles was leaking on to the floor. ended up having zip tie it together so he could take it back to the dealer 2 hours away.
