    Bassroom portable tent???

A few times when I took the wife and kids fishing, we all got soaked from the rain just trying to make it back to the docks. By the time we hooked up the boat, the sun came out and the rain was gone. We get a lot of scattered rain in MN.

So, I'm looking to get one of these bassroom tent for the boat. The spec says 72x72 and my question is, will this snug fit the xb21 2+2? If not, I'm thinking of making one.

Don't feel bad. A lot of boats are slow.

Perry, that's pretty cool. It looks like it could come in handy. I'd have to say that as long as the "tents" 6' x 6' footprint is reasonably close to the blue outline in my graphic, you should be good.

With the 6x6 it looks like you might be able to cover the consoles and front seats or all four seats (and the potty) and not the consoles. You'd probably have to get creative with the "tie-down" straps if you really needed them.

Fabricating one as functional as the one referenced might be a pain. Those "self erecting" pop-up tents have a floor which would need modification / removal and proper size(s) and door location could be an issue. ......unless you're thinking something else.

    Perry,
I did not see you this year in Pine City, did you get up at all?

Here is a spotty shower(weather mans words) I got stuck in this year heading back from Cross Lake, luckily I just made the bridge in town. I had to run the no-wake zone at speed as well to avoid a second wave. It was not one of my prouder moments, but the weather did not look good and cover was needed. I just got to the bridge by Pokegama when another wave hit. The wind and rain was so bad I couldn’t see and could barely tie up under the bridge. Several docks on the lake were flipped over after it passed.
Let me know when if you are heading up some time, it is always nice to see another go fast boat.

Re: Bassroom portable tent??? (River Rocket)

With the local tournaments I got caught in last year, I only made up to Cross Lake once in late October. I was making my way over to Pokeg but rain and sleet was coming down. Next year!

Glad you made it out over there in one piece.

Ive thought about something like before. I wanted to get the portapotty tent from bass pro and use it when I was lantern fishing. Would be a lot better than sitting in the rain all night.
