My trim gauge went haywire this weekend on me, so I began stepping through the troubleshooting guide and narrowed down to my sender unit. When I started pulling the sender unit I found the sender unit wires were pinched almost in two and grounding out on the motor base (where the wires go through the cowling).

So, I wired everything back up, and now my gauge, which had worked before, doesn't.

Like a big dummy, I did this all with live wires and I'm afriad I 'fried' my trim gauge.

Is this possible?

Is there a fuse? A fuseable link?

Any help would be appreciated.
