I purchased a pair of 200HP HO's in March, and the dealer could not put the digital I-Command guages on as they said they could not get parts. I knew more about Nema 2000 than the dealer, so I said OK and I would do it myself later. I recently bought some Lowrance Nema 2000 guages, and also have connected my Raymarine C80 to display engine data. The port engine works fine, but the starboard engine will not read. I have switched the cables which connect the engines to the Nema 2000 bus, but there is no change...the starboard engine does not show on the guages or the C80. I spoke to the dealer who said the Nema 2000 output has to be configured before the engines will talk on the bus. That makes sense to me, but the dealer wants to charge me for a service call. I think the engines should come configured to output Nema data. I paid a lot for a pair of twins. Is this covered in the warranty, or do I have to pay for a service call?
