I have yet to see any that have leaked, but it only takes one or two instances in today's society to make a company take notice. Also by saying don't use the motor until fixed, they are protecting themselves. If you have one of these motors, call your dealer. It only takes a few minutes to swap filters, so they may do it while you wait.
The same filter is used on the V4 and 60° degree V6E-TEC motors, but those fuel systems are different and are not pressurized like the inline's systems were during assembly.
