    Fishing in Germany

Wow It's not as easy as you'd think. You need to pass an exam first...

Think you also need to pass a test to play golf there too.

If I ever make it to Germany fishing is the last thing I would do. I'd find out where Helene Fischer is performing and watch her .....Highlite her name and see for yourself or look at this.

Think what you want, I bet you won't find nearly the amount of trash in their natural areas that we do. I'm no fan of excessive regulation of any kind, but they have a very small geographical wilderness in comparison with ours and seem commited to keeping it intact.

I agree with ya.....The Europeans don't seem to trash their counties up like Americans do.

    Re: Fishing in Germany (bilgerat)

My good buddy was stationed in Germany for 3 years and said everyone would go to Luxemburg(sp?) to fish for GIANT brown trout. I guess that is where they are native to, and grow really big. I guess only the rich are allowed to fish/hunt in Germany??

That seems kind of over-regulated to me for something so simple and carefree in nature. What's next an exam on how to pick your nose and wipe your butt?

That reminds me of the Norwegian driver's license requirements. Should be able to Rally Race competitively after you finish their training and tests. We do still live in a fairly nonrestrictive country compared to the rest of the world, even though "they" try to change that daily.

That brings up an interesting point for a debate - Over here you basically only need to know which door to get in to drive the car and you get your license. Look at all of the knowledgable drivers we deal with every day (I'm sure there are bad drivers over there also) There is a balance to everything, it's hard to keep things level all of the time.

It's all good as long as you don't have to pass a test to drink their beer.

This true. You also need to take a class and pass an exam.
