I don't have the controls for this motor and don't have the time and energy to find them and wire everything. Motor is in good shape and my friend assures me it ran great when he pulled it off the boat to run a larger motor. Will trade for boat stuff or whatever you may have. Need a small kicker if anyone wants to part with one of those! Thanks for looking, would like to see this motor go to someone who will use it.

I had a Johnson Meteor 90Hp from the early 60Âs. I replaced it with a 1985 60HP Evinrude and it pushed the boat the same speed as the 90HP (33mph). The 90HP had problems with the carbs and the screws would come out of the butterfly and go in the motor. I bought it used so OMC would not cover it under the recall. I had to take the cover off and check it every few hours (If only silicon calk was available then). What a wrestling match that was. The motor you have is a bit of nostalgia. I have great memories of it but I now appreciate the trouble free operation of modern motors. If the internet was available back in the sixties the bandwidth would not handle all the problems people had with motors!
Good luck. Post a picture. I am assuming it is the V4. I would love to see it. Take a picture of the bullet gear case. The bass boaters may think it a lightning gear case and want to put it on their rig!
