    Thanks for the rational discussion

The other thread (which has been locked) had several people with differing opinions, and while we may not have been making much headway, I believe that talking with people who disagree with you is a great way to grow as a person. I took nothing personally in that thread, and was enjoying hearing dissenting opinions. There's no need to re-hash all that was said, and I'm not trying to open the discussion again. Thanks to those who took the time to reply and put their thoughts out there for the rest of us (whether we agreed or not).

People who can't act like grown-ups and decent human beings are the reason we can't have intelligent conversations in this country.

I stand up for my beliefs and enter into civil conversation with other people. I must be a coward.

I can voice my opinions without resorting to name-calling. I must be an idiot.

To those who disagreed with me, I'd be glad to sit down and have a beer one of these days and talk face to face about any of the stuff we were discussing. I'm a man who speaks his mind in person as well as online. If you're ever passing through Knoxville and wanna grab a beer and have a talk, let me know.

It's too bad the thread was locked due to the irrational behavior of some.

I've always found it helpful to start a new post about a deleted post. The moderators are overpaid, and need to work more to earn the use of the executive wash room. Not to mention the lavish weekends Al puts on in Quebec.

Re: Thanks for the rational discussion (basscat21)

Had to get that thing locked somehow, there was so much wrong info being spewed it was dangerous. The info you were giving was dead wrong and damaging to this country, example.... How did Hitler kill 11 million people ? He lied to them. Convinced them that the obvious wasn't really happening, convinced them to ignore their instincts and what they knew to be true and replaced it with lies and deceit. Why did hundreds of thousands of jewish people line up and march to their deaths while only a hundful of armed guards stood by ???? They could have overtaken them but in the end the propaganda machine kept them from believing what they feared was actually happening. They just simply could not believe it.

We better wake up and start believing and stop listening to the opinions like NJDevil and his "peaceful Muslims"
