    IU Basketball

If the NCAA Men's Basketball tourney was played in Bloomington, I would have to put my money on IU. Top 5 teams coming into town are 0-3 with Kentucky, Ohio State and now Michigan State going down. Have to give it to Tom Crean. He has really turned that team around from the Sampson disaster.

The UK faithful will be along shortly to say that IU's win was a fluke....but we all know better.

    Crimson and Crean!

I'm not going to say it was a fluke, but I am going to say IU can't beat anybody worth a damn outside of Bloomington.

I don't really care how they do in the tournament, making the tournament is more than I thought they would do at the start of the season. They are on the right path, and if they can get back to being a good, and occasionally excellent team year in and year out I'll be happy again.

IU roundball is back!!!!!!!!! Tom Crean is outstanding and has had to endure a rough start at Indiana thanks to that bum Sampson but he's got it going now just like he did at Marquette.

I thought I would be on Easy Street by now but somehow I missed the off ramp!

Neither, the Buckeyes or the Spartans are in the top 10, let alone top 5.. Now tell us how proud you were when ; Tubby's Gopher's Spanked ur Loosiers Butt's in Bloomington..... Unless ur a crack-head, I know you won't welcome another game with the Wildcats....play and win a few road games then talk smack !

As a UK fan, Im glad IU is back to some prominence. Makes things more interesting for sure. But You and I both know UK is unbeaten if that game was on a neutral court.
Good luck to IU, maybe we can have a re match in the tourny,

IU doesn't want to run into UK in the tournament, that's for sure. I'm glad they're playing better this year. I was hoping UK wouldn't schedule that game anymore, it was hurting their RPI.

I'm surprised it took him this long. He is a good coach. It should become a good rivalry again.

I must be clairvoyant or something.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda, it's still a loss.

IU is back, and it's been a long time coming.

    Re: IU Basketball (Tom G.)

This is always entertaining. Play here play there. Put KY in the big 10 see how many they win. Kind of like the old ACC or the SEC in football. The big ten is stacked they beat each other up. I am not saying UK isn't the best team right now. But who have they beaten in the last month in the top 10~15? Florida? Sure IU wins at home, isnt that what they are suppose to do? iU isn't a better team than UK, but then again the last two years Butler wasn't atop 10 team either...

I guess I don't know much about basketball. Are the home teams rims normally bigger?

    Re: IU Basketball (Willybite)

OSU and MSU are both in the top 10. IU did get beat by the gophers at bloomington, but then went to Minn and beat them on thier court. I don't think any IU guys are claiming IU is the most talented team in the country. They did beat Kentucky though.

While the SEC guys are all over football - put KY in the B10 and see how they do. Teams get beat up there every night. No, I don't think IU is the most talented team in the country. But given where they were, and where they are not, you have to hand it to them.

    Re: IU Basketball (sc419795)

IU has done much better than was thought prior to the season. They are young and will be even better next year(unfortunately...Go Boilers!! ) Kentucky has a good team, but are not world beaters. The SEC is a weak basketball conference with the exception of Florida a lot of years and Kentucky. Other than that, the other schools are not close to the caliber of the top 4 or 5 Big Ten schools.

I'll give you that the Big 10 is the better league this year, but to think the SEC is a push-over conference in kind of ignorant. Yes, the bottom of the league (South Carolina, Georgia, Auburn) are VERY bad but the rest aren't bad teams. UK can't help who they play in conference.

Vandy was supposed to be a top 10 team, but because of the injury to Ezili, they struggled out of the gate. They are starting to play like a top 10 team now. Alabama was supposed to be another good team, but seems to be having trouble in the locker room. You don't know what Florida team is going to show up, the one that pushed Syracuse to the wire in the Carrier Dome, or the one that lost to UGA last week. And Mississippi St has gone crazy (again). Atleast the SEC is adding Mizzou next year.

Not sure I said SEC was a pushover. Though I don't believe it has the top to bottom that the B10 has.
