tough lake to fish unless you like the line siders! Try throwing a spinner bait or a big jig at night!
Summer night bite will be on like donkey kong! Depends on where you are at C'land, I'm 55-65 minutes from Wisdom Dock on Dale. Barren and Laurel are close as well, Barren is 90 minutes from Somerset and Laurel is 40 minutes.

No have enough of those on lanier! I figure its a deep clear lake in like lanier so shouldnt be to bad. Bt are there qaulity fish in there?
They're all bullchittin' ya man. Any lake in the U S of A, just pull up and throw out an A rig. You'll catch fish, don't matter what time, date or year it is. It's getting to the point that fishing is boring. One cast, 5 fish every time.
Barren or Green are both very good, but the night bite will be on then on Cumberland too. What area of the lake will you be staying ??? If possible to hook up I'll try to show you some spots. When it gets closer IM me & I'll give you my phone # & I'll help you in any way I can as I fish Cumberland & Green quite a bit, but I'll be on Cumberland more this year than the last 2 or 3 years. Oh I also grew up on it just up the road above Cumberland Point.![]()
