alright... i talked with rusty last week and think that the loss of rpms on the top end and low end torque might be an issue with the WOT timing because when i had the motor worked on earlier this year the sync and lync was done but not the top end because it was ball busting cold... now my dilema is no one.. and i mean no dealer around me sets the timing with a test wheel.... this is a problem. everyone tells me it has tobe set with a test wheel in a tank. my father in law is a very good merc mechanic and said what he did years ago was take the link out from the throttle linkage so that when you hit wot it does not engage the carbs but the timing will advance to WO. if anyone has a test wheel that i could borrow or knows where i could pick one up reasonably i could really use a hand here... i dont care if i have to pay shipping both ways and rent for the wheel or what..buti gotta get this taken care of.. or if anyone knows a way to get it real close...
Thanks once again,
Jim
