I was told by some of the guys in the tournament that people were dropping out and they were desperate for boaters.

Im sorry but man I have a lot of disrespect for any boater who signs up, practices and then says naaa im not gonna fish cause its a tough bite. They should be banned from any and all future tournaments. If you enter, you fish it, they have co anglers traveling based upon a boat being in the event, obviously mechanical issues are a different issue, but dropping out cause they couldn't locate fish is pathetic. Dang I hope FLW has a no refund policy after official practice begins.

What happens to the poor co-angler left without a boat? They paid $400 to fish from the back of the boat. Someone laying down $1000.00 to fish an event then backing out sounds crazy to me too.

I would be soooo pissed if I traveled, took time off work and then showed up to a tournament to find out that there's no boat for me. I would be asking for the name of the boater that dropped out. I hope the boaters don't get refunds. Anyone know if they will???

Copied from Everstart Rules.......... ENTRY FEES WILL NOT BE TRANSFERRED OR REFUNDED AFTER THE ENTRY/BALANCE DEADLINE.

I can't understand why they would throw $1000 away like that. I get that there are additional expenses that they won't have to spend (on hotel and gas), but that’s a big chunk of cash to just leave behind. I think if a coangler got a confirmation notice for the tournament, and then is turned away because a boater/pro drops out, then that coangler should get a portion of the boaters entry fee. As it stands, it looks like all of that would stay with FLW. It would be good if FLW used at least some of that money to find a way to compensate the co's that have to go home without making a cast. I’m not saying they should hand over the whole amount, but a few hundred bucks would be a good start.

Wow....only 16.15 is leading! I was up there checking out the scene today and there were alot of sub-10 pound bags! Guys were saying how tough it is out there today. I think some guys will make an adjustment and get on the bite, and some guys will return to where their fish were and find them gone. Gonna have to watch this one!

I knew it was going to be tough... But even the local boys were bringing in 2 fish or small bags I thought for sure some of the Paycheck/ Premiere tournament guys would have some decent bags. Tomorrow with that cold front and wind should make it even more interesting.
