A-Rig Ban - I think it's wrong

First, let me say i think BASS has made a mistake. Here's why - there are 100+ elite anglers. This rule was put into effect by a committee. I think the kind of money they are paying to fish these tournaments - each individual should have a vote. Yeah, i know the committee should respresent the majority.
Second, i think sight fishing is more detrimental the fishery than anything we do as tournament fisherman. I know studies have been done to show this is not the case. And, I say horse-hockey to that.
Just my opionion.

Could it be that the patent does not belong to a big bait company like Rapala and they said ban it our we pull out some ad money? It does seem on the surface to be more sponsorship money in BASS as you actual see an unwrapped boat on more occasions in FLW.

I dont fish B.A.S.S. tournaments, sooooo really doesnt affect me at all.

I think this has to be the most overrated lure to hit the mainstream in years. I personally do not care whether BASS bans it or not, but I would bet money, that it would not have out-caught other more mainstream lures this coming season (as a whole)anyway. More tournaments will be won with a jig/chatterbait or finesse worm this year....without all this fuss about multiple hook rigs. This lure(or rig), has it's time and place, just not at every stop on the trail. I say...on with the show!

Jeff Kriet said he thought that 95% of the Elite anglers were in favor of the ban as well as the boat rule. He had just bought a Triton aluminum boat recently too.
