On my 06 225HO E-tec, when I hook thge garden hose to the flush port.....Can I run the engine on it? I checked the owners manual, it says "You do NOT have to run the engine when flushing"......Can I and should I? I've been running A LOT of hydrilla infested water lately (looks like I am driving over a shag living room carpet when I'm running down the lake) and I do keep a constant eye on my water pressure (hasn't dropped a touch from the 22-23psi @ 5500) when I am running it. I just want to make sure that I don't have any crap in the powerhead and want to make sure she is spotless inside and out...lol....My Yamaha I ran on the hose after each trip....Plus, I think the racer in me still wants to hear the growl of a 2-stroke on the hose....![]()
