40 hp etec surging

The last couple of times out I have felt a hesitation or surging sensation at mid and fast speed ranges, idle and trolling speed seems ok. Motor has 50 hours on it. I have changed the primer ball on the gas line, checked all the clamps and connections, changed tanks, cleaned out tank and bought all fresh gas as suggested by you guys in past posts. My next stop will be at the dealer. Is there anything else I can do before going there? Could there be a software update for this motor that would help? What other questions should I be asking at the dealers?

at 50 hrs mine need new plugs and on january 27th a new map came avalible. take it to the dealer the spark plugs are covered under the warrenty and they can down load the new map. ohhh! make sure they index those plugs
