    Mystery Lake "M"

Found a little no wake lake that just recently became open to the public. Headed over sunday morning despite the cold, rain, cold, wind, rain, wind, cold and wind. Nice little area despite the boat ramp leading to some repair work on the bow . Tons of laydowns. Lake is actually two little lakes attached by a little channel. The channel is very shallow and blocked by a log so we were only able to fish the upper end which kinda sucks as the lower end looks better. Despite that, we caught some very nice fish. Not a lot, but we did catch was very healthy. Best 6 would have gone 20 lbs or better with the biggest being 5.3. Some big Pike in there as well, no one was able to boat any but it was very obvious that these were big 'uns!!! I'll post some pics later this week. Nice little option close to home

Can you run a big motor on it at no wake? That would be nice.

Yep Hope to post pics sometime this week. My computer doesn't have a camera dock or whatever you call it. I have to stop off at my moms sometime and download them there

Sometimes those little Bill Dance lakes can be fun.... nothing wrong with that If you're looking for a real challenge, go try to pull a limit out of Coralville

Thank god I live on a pool with very little pressure so the fishing is easy, we have 3,4,5,6 pounders just eating out of my hand like chipmunks

    Re: (Wags186)

With a pool like it can handle the pressure. On Pool 17 if you have a 30 boat tournament, chances are you're gonna run into 29 boats in your spots. I think we could fit all of our backwater on 17 into Spring Lake with room to spare.

Yeah I never seem to have that problem, I always fish around the Red and Green things on the river, see lots of boats but not many fisherman.
