SUCKED!!!! Man I hate that pool. Really, really, hate it. Just quite simply one of the ugliest pools on the river. Caught maybe a dozen fish with three keeping. That was good for third place out of ten boats. Yeah, it was that bad. One limit brought in and most of their fish came from the pool above. Started out in Bell Pocket but didn't stay long, it was dead in the morning. Eeked into Benton Bay and caught two small keepers there. Finished up in Campbells Slough and picked up a 3+ lber there to secure 3rd place. Very few fish caught by me and my partner. One keeper on frog, one on a Senko, and one on a crank. Caught a few 13 7/8"ers on Sweat Beavers but couldn't manage anything else. Water is "high" and muddy. By "high" I mean it's high for where they usually have that ugly barge ditch but still a pain in the butt to get into any of the backwaters. Bell Pocket was easy to get into but it was tough sledding trying to get into Benton. Another week and Benton will be inaccessible. Was gonna fish in Huron but already had a bunch of boats in our club heading back there so we slugged it out in other areas. So glad that tourny is over. One of the VERY FEW bodies of water that I simply do not enjoy fishing. Just not fun
