    Thumbs Up Awesome Day

Took out my boy for the 3rd time. 1st time by myself. I have determined my tach has loose wire. It reads correct sometimes an sometimes not. Ill fix it. Just wiggled two differenct wires on back while running an can get it to go haywire. Gota climb under dash an figure that out. No biggee. I know by sound of engine that RPMs are ok. I got it up to 60 GPS by myself. Water Pressure is just under 20 at WOT!! If I trim it tooo much it will chine walk a bit. So I can full throttle it and trim down tad an still get 60 gps on it. Im happy with that. Its pretty smooth ride. Handles pretty well too. Bonus....I did catch lots of fish. Caught smallies an largemouth. An yes the biggun got away....... 3 times!! UGH! Had a great time. Really happy with the boat. Little bit of water in the bilge sometimes. But maybe cuz the thru hull fittings sit so close to the water an if you are not careful coming off plane the water will come up to the rub rail which is higher than those fittings. Weird. The compartment behind passenger seat gets a little damp. The compartment behind driver does not. Not sure what that is? Few things to tweek an fix but Im pretty happy. An really for what I paid for it after seeing lots of other boats at much higher prices I cant complain.

On your back wash, when you come off plain give it a little push right after the rear settles, that will prevent the water from coming over the rear. That could account for the water in your bilge and lockers. Before you know it, that action will become second nature. As for your speed if you wanted it, that 175 should push that 187 faster. Just post your height , blade, RPM's and etc. someone will be more than happy to assist you.

I'm thinking if you get a 23 Tempest you might do a little better, but not much. 60 is a pretty good speed for that rig. Its what I run.
