    HPDI 'ticking'????

    When I plug in my boat I can hear an audible 'ticking' noise inside the outboard.....once it charges it stops.....WTH is that from???

    On E-tec motors, that noise is the timer for the powerhead detonator. But I'm sorry I can't help you more than that!
