Chris, pulled the top pump and the only leak was around the 10mm bolts, a drop or two. Pulled the bottom pump and squeezed the bulb and gas poured out the back. What does this mean? What to do next?

Very good...you get ten points and a chance to come back next week! You need to replace the diaphragm kits,do both pumps...one is usually close behind the other. The gasoline you see gushing out the back of the pump has been flooding the motor on a couple cylinders, ruining performance and dramatically wasting fuel. You should be able to change the diaphragms no problem...HOWEVER...realize you'll have spilled gasoline and you will be working in the area of the battery connections,it would be easy to create a spark and fire...ALWAYS turn
off the battery switch,or disconnect the battery, for safety's sake.
Any Yamaha dealer should have the kits for a few dollars, although they will probably want to sell you new pumps...if you have trouble finding them I'll send em to you,if you really want that motor running good you should go to our website and read about our reeds, your motor loves them,Chris
im sure this will fix your problem,if not call me at 304-394-3354,Chris
