OK, heres my ? A friend and I have the same model boat and motor, 09 Z520 w/hpdi 250. He blew his powerhead on #2 cylinder a couple of weeks ago. He picked his boat up yesterday and said the mechanic told him that is typical on that motor, its not if its when its gonna happen Is there anything to this? (his was still under warranty, mine just ran out!!!! Any input would be appreciated, Thanks

Same thing happened to me about a three months ago and my mechanic explained that running in grass and getting up in low water constantly may have been the culprit. The low water pick-ups on the Yamaha's can be a problem. I have also been told this has been a problem in places like Okeechobee and other grass fisheries.
