When I trim my motor all the way down the trim gauge shows the it is 1/4 from fully down. Is there a way to adjust that so down is reading down?

Their is a cam that is on the tilt tube, it looks like a clamp. just loosen screw and twist cam to adjust, if its plastic its more then likley broken, yamaha makes a s/s kit to replace it pn 99999-03830, also a good time to lube trim sender.
