    Ring Free vs Sea Foam

Guys is one better than another? What do you guys prefer and why? And if I am putting ethanol free gasoline in my sled what kind of Sta-bil do you recommend? I am assuming not the ethanol stabilizer. This is my first bass boat and although my father and I "shared one" it had a Mercury.

My Yamaha dealer recommends Ring Free plus and Startron, so that is what I have been running.

Sea Foam has alcohol in it - it's on the label. So I quit using it.

+1....I use Ringfree and Marine Stabil....

Not to mention, Ringfree is cheaper if you do the math and even more so if you buy the bigger bottle of Ringfree...

I use ring free and Startron, that's what Yamaha recommends.
When you are really very good at something you do, ever noticed how people seem to always find a way to come around to see how you do it?

I use Ring Free Plus (buy it by the case) and burn ethanol free gasoline 99% of the time.

Re: Ring Free vs Sea Foam (cajun8541)

I have a 2010 SHO and have run Ring Free and Marine Stabil in every tank since I have had it. I just changed my fuel water separator today and poured the fuel that was in the separator into a glass jar. The boat has not been run in 5 weeks and I usually keep the tanks fairly well topped off. There is absolutely no evidence(no separation) of water in this fuel that I poured up. It has been sitting for several hours and I keep checking it. Everyone has their own ideas what to use and I have been second guessing mine over the last few weeks, but after today I feel pretty good about what I use. I did notice that Stabil now has an Ethanol treatment formula.
