Yamaha 225 prop shaft...

I have a 2007 with 120 hrs. on it and it was put away for storage. I paid to have full test of the motor, gear oil change, water pump replacement, oil/water separator and oil/filter change and during their inspection they said the prop shaft is bent. I haven't hit anything with this, so my question is how easy is it to bend the shaft and how much is it to fix? Also, I am still under warranty and wanted to know if this is covered. Thanks

oh you hit something???? and no a bent propshaft will NEVER be warranty

I have never bent a prop shaft without prop damage so you would know if you did it. Did you feel a vibration when you ran it last time? If what you say is true I would take it else where. I would not tell them the other dealer checked it. Better yet check it your self.

no dings, no dents in the prop. The skeg has one dent in it. My dealer is going to check it all out and if it needs to be fixed, he is going to put it in through insurance. He did say it does not take much to bend a prop shaft with a SS prop. Never felt a vibration and the boat was still running high 60's through the end of the year.
