Mercury in a Yamaha 250 HPDI

What are peoples opinions on running Mercury oil in an HPDI Series 2?

I only ask because I can get a ridicously low price thru the Federation on all Mercury Products.

I have run Quick Sliver in my last 2 hammers. It's not too expensive and i can find in most all of the places i travel.A buddy runs Penzoil in his last 2 hammers and has never had a problem either.

I run Premium plus in my 225 hpdi

Motor oil is motor oil as long as its TCW3 well kinda

I run Pennziol XLF in mne---no problems.......yet.

I ran premium plus in mine all of last year just because it was easier for me to get than yamalube.

just maker sure it is injector oil and not pre mix oil
