I just noticed tonight that my motor at neutral is idling at 1200-1300 rpms but in forward and reverse it is right around 800 like normal. The motor just didnt sound right and the vibrations didnt seem the same.
If anyone has any idea what is going on or why this all of a sudden happened I would greatly appreciate it. Motor is 08 250 HPDI. Thanks for your time!
Can't say but there USED to be an adjustment screw so no biggie to tap it back a couple hundred...check manual or your dealer.

Thank you for your time. After a closer look there was 1/4 of a snickers barand a nut & bolt hung in the hot foot. I am pretty sure this was causing it but now I need to figure out where exactly the nut & bolt came from. It matches the bolts on the hot foot exactly but I cant seem to figure out where it the world it came from. The nut was still on the bolt too
My hotfoot seems to catch everything that gets loose in my boat!! Coke cans, worm bags, cracker packages they all end up behind the hotfoot and it can give you a thrill when you let up on the gas and it doesn't slow down.
