I have a 2004 Ranger 520 DVX with a 2004 Evinrude 225 H.O Direct Injection (non-etec) with a 6" Rite Hite jackplate with the motor set at 4" below the pad and a 25" Renegade prop. I'm turning 64 mph at 5950 rpms at w.o.t with water pressure around 15lbs and a "completely full" tournament load. My problem is: on the holeshot, just as the bow is coming down, I am blowing out/losing bite. The Renegade has the cav/vent ring installed. Do you think I need to lower my motor a little more (even though it's at 4" below pad now) or do you think I need to go with the 27" Renegade. I ran the boat with a 27" Renegade with the cav/vent ring installed and the holeshot suffered quite a bit.![]()
Thanks
