I have an 08 250hpdi series 2 and when I crank my boat for the first time it seems like a little bit of water is spitting out through the exhaust while idling. I say exhaust but it is actually the small black rubber hole on the bottom cowling. Is this typical or normal??? What exactly is that hold for??

It seems like it does idle a little higher to start with until it warms up good (usually 700-800rpms) and maybe it is just pushing out the exhaust a little harder making it appear that that it is spitting water. I havent crawled back yet to check but I am taking my boat for servicing next week and didnt know if it was something I might mention to them to check .

thanks for your time, ideas and opinions!
