Update on misfire on 150VMAX carb

    http://www.bbcboards.net...-carb

As promised here is the verdict and yes I am eating a little crow here. Airport Marine called and said the center set of carbs has started gumming up so we are going to clean up all 3 sets of carbs. Yes I used "marine stabil" before anyone asks about that. The gas was not that old. They recommended keeping less gas in the boat so more fresh fuel would be burned rather than leaving it full and topping it off everytime. They also recommended, and this is just their personal opinion, to use the regular stabil because they seem to see less problems with it. Ill say I must agree with them because I have allways used the regular with no problems and now after switching to the marine formula some months ago I now have gummed up carbs. I know many people use the marine stabil with no problems but when you use it and have problems it does make you wonder. Well, there it is folks! Fish more and burn fresh fuel!

Re: Update on misfire on 150VMAX carb (285XL)

I never have more than 1/2 tank in my boat (if knowing I won't be riding much, usually a 1/4 tank), and always use "SEAFOAM"!
