2006 Vmax 150Hp Carb water pressure

I have a 150hp VMax Carb motor and I was on the lake saturday and noticed I had only 3 psi water pressure at idle and at full power only 15psi. I usually have 5 at idle and over 20psi at full power. I do not see any water coming out of the Pee Hole on the side at idle, but at full power there is a little stream. I am getting water out of theexhaust ports as usuall.

I hooked the clean out nozzel to it when I got home and water flow's freely from every were except the Pee hole. I put an air nozzle in the Pee hole to make sure it wasen't pluged and it blew freely. The water temp here is in the mid 70's and the water preesure has worked fine until saturday.

I ran the boat all day saturday and Sunday on St. Clair with no problems so I am getting water, but nothing out of the Pee Hole. Any suggestions??

Welcome to BBC, I don't think I would run it with no water coming out of the Pee hole.

Took the boat to my mechanic and the impeller needed replaced. It was worn out pretty good. Still had no water in the pee hole. The mechanic hooked up some sort of high pressure water/air mixture and flushed the system and all sorts of gundge came out and he let this run for about 10 minuets and everything was fine.

Took the boat out for a trial run this weekend and saturday I had water in the pee hole but still had lower pressure than before, and on sunday had very little pressure and no water at all out of the pee hole.

I Here a lot of talk about this poppet valve. Is there a poppit valve on the Vmax 150? I need to get this thing fixed before I blow it up.

Hi all..I had an issue with low pressure and disassembled the poppit valve..it seemed to be corroded shut with water deposits,cleaned it and has worked since.

Mine reads little pressure at idle but the pisser works fine when sitting at the dock.
